Bomb threat hits Quezon City school
A bomb threat was reported in San Francisco National High School in Quezon City on Monday morning, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said.
QCPD chief Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan told GMA News Online that the school was already cleared from explosive materials.
“After the conduct of panelling operation, EOD-QCPD led by Police Staff Sergeant Ryan Talania declared cleared the school from any hazardous and explosives materials,” Maranan said in a text message.
Based on the initial report, a teacher reported that a Facebook account sent a bomb threat at 6:23 a.m.
Another person sought assistance from the QCPD and requested for an explosive ordnance disposal team to conduct the operation.
Maranan said the Anti-Cybercrime Group will conduct an investigation to identify the perpetrator who sent the threat.
A report by Allan Gatus on Super Radyo dzBB on Monday morning said classes in the said school were suspended for the day following the bomb threat.
