Pasig City halts COVID-19 vaccination due to depleted supply

The Pasig City government has temporarily halted its COVID-19 vaccination activities due to the dwindling vaccine supply, according to a report on “Balita Ko” on Monday.

The city government said they have exhausted their supply of COVID-19 vaccine and the Department of Health (DOH) has yet to issue an advisory on the delivery of new ones.

In September, the DOH said the Philippines would no longer procure additional doses for those who have yet to complete their primary vaccine series or were not vaccinated at all amid an almost depleted COVID-19 monovalent and bivalent vaccine supply.

Latest DOH data showed that, as of March 19, a total of 177,374,244 coronavirus vaccine shots have been administered. Of these, a total of 78,443,972 people have completed their primary dose,  75,119,024 received the first dose, and 23,811,248 availed of booster doses.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
