Wayward truck causes 9-car pileup in QC
A nine-car pileup allegedly caused by a wayward truck occurred along the westbound lane of Quezon Avenue on Wednesday, according to a DZBB flash report by Glen Juego.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) a trailer truck reportedly lost its brakes, triggering the accident that involved two transport vans, an AUV, 2 taxi cabs, 2 sedan-type cars and a sports utility vehicle that overturned as a result of the impact with the truck.
The MMDA reported minor injuries but the exact number was yet to be determined as of press time.
Eight of the damaged vehicles were towed to clear the road but the truck is currently blocking a U-Turn slot, causing heavy traffic in the area. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF GMA Integrated News
