Motorcycle hits elderly vendor in Quiapo
A 63-year-old vendor sustained injuries after being hit by a motorcycle in Quiapo, Manila, Marisol Abdurahmann reported Monday on “24 Oras."
Investigation showed the elderly victim was crossing Carlos Palanca St. when she was sideswiped by the motorcycle rider on Sunday.
The impact caused the victim to fall and roll to one side.
“Umuulan po nun. Umaambon na po sya tapos may mga gamit po kaming CCTV na may nababasa. Binubusinahan ko na po sya kaso dun po sya nakatingin sa kabila,” said suspect Jeremie Dimaano.
(We were rushing because it was starting to rain and we were carrying CCTV cameras. I was honking at her but she was looking at the other side.)
Personnel of Barangay 306 immediately responded to the incident and rushed the victim to the nearest hospital.
“Agad tumakbo mga tanod ko, walang isang minuto nandun mga tanod ko,” said Barangay chairperson Earvin Tobilla.

“We are still waiting for the X-ray results at kung ano pa mag hihingiin ng doktor nung biktima. Si victim po ay ating vendor dito,” he said.

The victim has left the hospital and has settled with the rider.
