Taguig, Makati offer free medical services to EMBO barangays

The local governments of Taguig and Makati announced separately Thursday that they are offering medical services to residents of 10 Enlisted Men's Barrio (EMBO) barangays.

In an advisory, Taguig said the residents can avail of the Home Health and Doctor on Call services.

Home Health, a free health service for bedridden patients, is available from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m (except holidays). The medical team will go to the patient's home to provide services, including consultation, examination, and other health needs.

The Doctor on Call (DOC), on the other hand, is a 24/7 medical service composed of licensed doctors and registered nurses, with an ambulance equipped to respond to medical emergencies and other medical needs.

The residents only need to call (0961) 704 4701 for Home Health and (0919) 079 9112 for Doctor on Call.

Meanwhile, Makati City government said all its health centers are open to the residents of EMBO barangays for free consultation. The health centers are open from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. There is also a 24/7 primary care center in Palanan.
