Village guards face complaints for allegedly barging into residence
At least seven village security guards are facing complaints for unlawfully entering a residence in Parañaque City.
In Oscar Oida’s report on “24 Oras” Monday, the complainant said their houseboy answered the door thinking it was a food delivery when a village security guard allegedly forced his way into the residence.
Two other guards then followed the first guard into the property.
The three guards reportedly roamed the property taking videos, and even went to the second floor of the house.
Nagtaka din kami kasi simpleng buhay lang kami eh wala kaming atraso,” the house owner said.
(They did not explain why they just barged in. We were also confused because we live a quiet life.)
He said he was not around at the time of the incident.
Ano ba ang pakay nyo?’” he added.
(When they entered the second floor, they knocked on each door. When they asked for the master bedroom door to be opened, my house-help exclaimed, "Sir I’m not a criminal. Why are you here?")
Four other men allegedly arrived at the residence.
“Nung hinanap na nung anak ko ang search warrant nila, na, ‘Do you have any documents na papatunay na puwede kayong pumasok dito sa bahay namin?’ Wala.
(My son asked for the search warrant. They had nothing. They just barged into our home. The three guards then exited.)
The complainant said he lost money and other possessions after the incident. He immediately filed a report with the Parañaque Police.
Kaya sapilitan pumasok ang mga guwardiya sa isang residente,” Police Captain Melvin Garci, Parañaque Police Chief of Investigation, said.
(They said they forcibly entered the home after receiving a complaint that a maid was being confined in the home against her will.)
The house owner denied the accusation and said he maintained a good relationship with his house help.
DSWD kung meron man o barangay para i-rescue yung sinasabi nilang di umanoy tawag,” said Garci.
(They should have asked for our assistance, the barangay, or the DSWD.)
(Entering a residence without permission is a violation of the law.)
Police said the village guards may face multiple charges including qualified trespassing, grave coercion, grave threat, and robbery should it be proved money was stolen.
For its part, the security agency said it would cooperate with the investigation.
Operations Officer Antonio Pilapil.
(That’s the stand of the security agency. If they want to see our employees for identification, we’re willing to do that.) — Sundy Locus/DVM, GMA Integrated News
