QC to host 23rd Tour of the Fireflies on April 21

The Quezon City local government on Thursday advised the public to expect traffic ahead of the 23rd Tour of the Fireflies bike event on Sunday morning, on April 21.

The LGU said the following areas may experience heavier than usual traffic from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday for the 23rd Tour of the Fireflies - TARA! (Take A Ride for Advocacy!) event of the Firefly Brigade:

• Kalayaan Avenue

• Matino Street

• Anonas - Sikatuna

• Chico Street

• Xavierville Avenue

• Esteban Abada Street

• F. Dela Rosa Street

• Katipunan Avenue

• Luzon Avenue

• Congressional Avenue

• EDSA Muñoz

• EDSA Balintawak

• Araneta Avenue

• Quezon Avenue

• Timog Avenue

• East Avenue

“Magtutulungan at nakaantabay ang mga tauhan ng Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) at Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) para maisaayos ang daloy ng trapiko sa nasabing lugar,” the statement read.

(The Transport Management Department (TTMD) and Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) will provide assistance and be on stand by to ensure the smooth flow of traffic at the affected areas.
