Man may face charges after being caught on video lifting, whirling dog by the leash

A man was caught on video lifting a dog by the leash and whirling it around early morning last Monday in Pasig City, according to the report of Jamie Santos on "Saksi."

The uploader heard a dog howling so he stepped out of his house. He then saw a man walking along the street maltreating a dog.

This is not the first time the neighbors witnessed the man maltreating his dogs.

He had his cellphone with him and took the video of the incident. He uploaded the video to make others aware of the situation of the dogs.

Eric Zuniga, Barangay Pineda Security personnel, said they have received complaints against the same individual but no one has filed a formal complaint against him.

Several animal welfare groups got together to help rescue the maltreated dogs.

A barangay official said the dogs are now in the custody of an animal welfare group. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
