Police nab suspect in police-informant killings

A 28-year-old suspect who was allegedly behind a series of police-informant killings was arrested in Caloocan.

According to a Friday 24 Oras report by Ian Cruz, the suspect allegedly killed police assets that were helping investigate guns-for-hire.

“Pinaghihinalaan niya na nagsumbong sa kaniya is inuunahan na po niya, binabaril niya,” said Caloocan Police Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch chief Police Major Jansen Tiglao.

(If he suspected someone of snitching on him, he shoots them immediately.)

The Caloocan Regional Trial Court issued a warrant of arrest against the suspect, while three other murder cases have been filed against him.

As the suspect often escaped or fought back, Caloocan Police Intelligence enlisted the assistance of the Northern Police District Maritime Group and the Special Action Force in arresting the suspect in Camarin, Caloocan.

“Once na nakakita po siya ng tropang police o nakikilala niya na mga police ay kaagad [siyang] nagtatago sa mga kanal-kanal, added Tiglao.

(Once he sees a police officer or who he thought was a police officer, he immediately hides in the sewers)

The suspect, who denied the murder charge and the accusations that he was a gang member, was now detained at the Caloocan Police Custodial Facility. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/DVM, GMA Integrated News
