Fire reported at a mall in Binondo, Manila
A fire broke out at a mall in Binondo, Manila on Monday morning.
White smoke was seen coming out of one of the windows of Lucky Chinatown mall, according to a report by Manny Vargas on Super Radyo dzBB.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), fire volunteers, and mall security were immediately on site to put out the fire.
The fire reached the first alarm at 7:29 a.m., the BFP said.
It affected the fourth floor of the mall, particularly the museum.
Guests staying at a hotel on the fifth and sixth floors were evacuated.
No other buildings were affected, mall security said.
The fire was put out at 8:51 a.m.
The BFP is conducting an investigation into the incident.
