Parts of EDSA northbound, southbound closed from Aug. 9-12, 16-19, 23-26

Some portions of the northbound and southbound lanes of EDSA will be partially closed on August 9-12, 16-19, and 23-26 for road repairs, the Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region said Friday. 

The DPWH-NCR will be conducting asphalting activities starting 11 p.m. of August 9. 

The affected areas are: 

• EDSA northbound in Mandaluyong City, after Guadalupe Bridge to Shaw Boulevard
• EDSA southbound in San Juan City, from Connecticut to Ortigas Avenue

"To minimize further disruption of traffic flow in the area, the road repair works will be conducted during weekends, which will start on August 9, 2024 at 11 p.m. Once completed, closed lanes will be immediately opened to traffic before 5 a.m. every weekends for the convenience of the road users," DPWH-NCR said in an advisory.

Motorists are advised to take alternative routes or adjacent lanes during the conduct of asphalt overlay.—Vince Angelo Ferreras/AOL, GMA Integrated News
