Man blackmails ex-girlfriend with sex videos to get her back

A man was arrested for blackmailing his former partner with sex videos that were sent to him by the woman’s recent ex. 

According to Emil Sumangil's "24 Oras" report, “Alice,” the complainant, said that she and “Bruce” lived under the same roof for eight years. However, due to various reasons, Alice asked out of the relationship.

“Hindi niya minamahal ang pamilya ko at hindi siya responsable sa bayarin sa bahay, siyempre ako na babae, na-fall out of love sa kanya,” said Alice, complainant. 

(He does not love my family and does not take care of the household expenses. I fell out of love.) 

After the breakup, Alice met and dated “Charlee” but not long after, she learned that he had a family, which made her decide to break up with him.

Charlee, however, did not take her decision lightly and threatened her.

“Ang salitang kanyang binitiwan: ginawa mo yan, pagdusahan mo,” said Alice. 

(What he said was: you did this, you must suffer.) 

Alice had no idea that Charlee had their private videos, which he sent to Bruce. 

When Bruce got them, he used them as blackmail to get Alice back.

“Ipinagkalat niya ito sa mga kaibigan ko, sa mga ka-trabaho ko, sa mga ka-anak ko po. Hindi ko alam, paano ako lalabas ng bahay. Paano ako magta-trabaho? Paano ako haharap sa ka-anak ko?” Alice shared. 

Alice then contacted the Philippine National Police-Eastern District Anti-Cyber Crime team and through an entrapment operation, Bruce fell.

“Dalawa ang mananagot dito, yung suspect number 1, yung ka live in ng complainant at suspect number 2, bago niyang boyfriend,” said Police Captain Michelle Sabino, chief of the Cyber Crime team

Bruce is in police custody while Charlee is still at large.

They were both charged with violating the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA Integrated News
