Man arrested for running amok in Navotas
A 50-year-old man was arrested for allegedly running amok while under the influence of alcohol in Barangay Bangkulasi, Navotas, late Tuesday night, police said.
Police Major Anthony Mondejar, Navotas Police Patrol Operations Chief, said concerned residents sought help from patrolling police officers, who then responded to the scene and caught the suspect in the act.
(We caught the suspect in the act, shouting and throwing things while holding a pen gun... He was shattering bottles. He was also throwing rocks, which alarmed the people there.)
Police investigation revealed that the suspect was also arrested in August for illegal gambling, particularly in the game of “cara y cruz.”
(One possible reason we’re looking at as to why why he flew into a rage is him thinking that he was caught because of those who snitched on him in the area. So when he got out and drank alcohol, he took the chance. He borrowed courage from the alcohol.)
Complaints for violation of Article 155 of the Revised Penal Code (Alarms and scandals), and the Comprehensive Firearms and Regulation Act were filed against the suspect.
The suspect refused to comment on his alleged violations when asked by GMA Integrated News. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
