WATCH: Honey, Isko, Sam court Manila voters via motorcades
Candidates for the mayoral race in Manila on Sunday hopped on vehicles and held motorcades to win the nod of voters, two days after the campaign period for the local elections started.
Incumbent officials Mayor Honey Lacuna, Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto, 4th District Representative Edward Maceda and 6th District Representative Benny Abante went around Districts 4 and 6.
Meanwhile, Lacuna's rival, former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, also went around District 5 Sunday in a motorcade together with his running mate Chi Atienza.
Tutok to Win party-list Representative Sam Verzosa, who is also running for mayor in Manila, likewise held a motorcade in the city on Sunday.
Actor Raymond Bagatsing is also running for the mayoralty in Manila.
The campaign period for local elections started Friday, March 28, and will end on May 10. Election Day is on May 12.
Commission on Elections Chairperson George Erwin Garcia on Thursday issued reminders to local bets as he urged them to abide by the guidelines set by the poll body for the safe and successful conduct of the upcoming midterm elections.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Friday reminded Eleksyon 2025 bets that election-related caravans and motorcades would only be allowed on weekends and holidays. —KG, GMA Integrated News
