6 hurt in 4 vehicle pile-up inside EDSA - Quezon Avenue Tunnel

Six persons were injured in a four-vehicle accident inside the EDSA - Quezon Avenue Tunnel in Quezon City on Wednesday.

According to a 24 Oras report, a police officer was resolving a traffic altercation between two UV Express drivers, who temporarily parked their vehicles in the tunnel.

Before the issue could be resolved, the said vehicles were hit by a bus, whose driver said he did not notice the vehicles had stopped along the inner lane.

A motorcycle was also involved in the crash, while the police officer was included among those injured.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has issued a show-cause order against the drivers and owners of the bus and the UV Express vehicles to explain why their franchises should not be suspended following the incident. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
