Malabon under state of calamity due to Crising, Habagat

With the declaration, the Malabon LGU said it can immediately release funds for emergency response to address the needs of affected residents as the city experienced "widespread flooding, infrastructure damage, disruption of essential services, and the evacuation of hundreds of residents."

"Bilang tugon, inaprubahan ng Sangguniang Panlungsod ang deklarasyon ng State of Calamity, batay sa rekomendasyon ng Malabon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) sa pangunguna ni Mr. Roderick Tongol, at sa matibay na direktiba ni Mayor Jeannie Sandoval."

(In response, the City Council approved the declaration of a State of Calamity, based on the recommendation of the Malabon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) led by Mr. Roderick Tongol, and the strong directive of Mayor Jeannie Sandoval.)

Manila, Quezon City, and Cavite Province earlier declared a state of calamity amid the continuous downpour.

Floods and heavy traffic were observed in Metro Manila due to the continuous rain on Tuesday.
