LRT-2 on limited ops from Recto to Cubao stations as lightning hits wire
The operation of Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) is temporarily limited between Recto Station and Araneta Center-Cubao Station on Tuesday afternoon after lightning hit a wire near Antipolo Station.
“Pansamantalang nagpapatupad ng provisional service ang LRT-2 matapos tamaan ng kidlat ang catenary wire malapit sa Antipolo Station,” LRT-2 management said in a social media post.

“Manatili pong nakasubaybay sa aming social media pages para sa mga susunod na abiso,” it added.

At 4:14 p.m., LRT-2 said its operation has been fully restored between Recto Station and Antipolo Station.
“Balik na sa full line operation ang LRT Line 2 matapos matagumpay na makumpuni ang catenary wire na tinamaan ng kidlat kanina sa Antipolo Station," LRT-2 management said.
