Man nabbed for allegedly raping Grade 2 student in Pasig
Police arrested a 39-year old man who allegedly raped a Grade 2 male student in Pasig City.
According to Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report on Wednesday's “24 Oras”, the Pasig police said the suspect invited the victim to eat at a fast food chain and later took him to his house.
Based on the complaint, the police said the victim was going home from school when the suspect spotted him.
“Hindi sila magka anu-ano, wala silang relationship. Nakita lang nung suspek ang bata, at nakursundahan niya,” Pasig police chief Police Colonel Hendrix Mangaldan said.
(They are unrelated. They don’t have any relationship. The suspect spotted the victim and decided to make a move.)
The suspect is facing rape charges in relation to child abuse.
He denied the accusations.
“Hindi po totoo yun, na nanggahasa ako, ang sakin lang, matulungan ang bata na makauwi sa kanila. Hindi po [pinagsamantalahan]. Medical ang magpapatunay kung pinagsamantalahan ko ang bata,” the suspect said.
(It’s not true that I raped him. I want to help him get home. I did not take advantage of him. The medical results will prove that I did no such thing to the boy.)
The suspect is currently detained in the Pasig Police Custodial Center. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
