Issuance of white Beep cards suspended due to Opong - DOTr

The issuance of white Beep cards for students, senior citizens, and people with disability (PWDs) will be suspended on September 26 to 27 due to the threat posed by Severe Tropical Storm Opong, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said on Thursday. 

“To ensure public safety, the issuance of white beep™ cards for students, senior citizens and PWDs is suspended in all LRT-1, LRT-2 at MRT-3 stations on Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27,” the advisory read. 

The DOTr said that the issuance of white beep cards will resume on Sunday, September 28.

Made available last Sept.20, 5he white Beep cards automatically grant a 50% discount to student, senior citizen, and PWD passengers taking the LRT-1, LRT-2, and MRT-3.
