3 arrested for ‘alok-aliw’ scheme in Caloocan
Three men were arrested in Caloocan City for an alleged scheme wherein female prostitutes are used as a front to rob victims.
According to Emil Sumangil’s report in “24 Oras” on Thursday, CCTV footage showed that the suspects brought the victim to a dark spot in a garage in Barangay 78 in Caloocan City. The suspects immediately fled but they were arrested by the Northern Police District through a tip.
Jerry Protacio.
(The unsuspecting victim will be offered sex by a woman. When the man takes the bait, suddenly some men will arrive, and the victim will be robbed.)
Mike Gomez of NPD special operations group.
(They will arrive and one of them will introduce himself as the husband, they will now mob and will rob the victim.)
Most of the victims usually don’t report the incident, hence, the group behind the scheme gets off the hook.
Angelito De Juan of the NPD investigation division.
(Why do some men no longer want to go to the police? Since they hired prostitutes. For example, if they face the police and report what happened, their wives could find out about it, and the problem would become worse.)
The suspects, who underwent inquest proceedings, refused to give a comment on the matter. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
