1 construction worker killed, 3 hurt in BGC elevator core wall collapse

A construction worker was killed and three others were hurt after an elevator core wall collapsed at a construction site in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City on Monday morning, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said.

According to the police report, an engineer said that while they were installing rebars, the elevator core wall suddenly collapsed at around 11:10 a.m and hit four workers working in the site's Basement 2.

The victims were immediately brought to St. Luke’s Medical Center by the company nurse and staff.

One of the workers, identified only as 39-year-old "Alvin," was declared dead at 12:11 p.m., the police said.
