Motorcycle rider dead after being run over by 10-wheeler truck along C5 

A motorcycle rider died on the spot after being run over by a 10-wheeler truck along the southbound lane of C5 in Taguig City on Monday morning. 

According to Bam Alegre’s report in “24 Oras” on Tuesday, CCTV footage showed that a motorcycle rider hit an AUV causing him to fall on the ground. But an oncoming truck ran over him. 

Responders struggled to identify the victim. But the police later found that he’s a 35-year-old security guard who was on his way to work. 

“Wala halos natira kasi yung helmet po niya, yung half po, warak po siya. Going to work na yata po yung patient,” said Rebeth Bernardo, a medic from Barangay Pinagsama. 

(There’s nothing left to cover his head because half of his helmet was damaged. He was supposed to go to work that day.) 

Meanwhile, the driver of the AUV that blocked the rider’s way and truck driver were detained and underwent an inquest for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property. Their vehicles were already impounded.
