Manila cop accused of sexual assault surrenders to NBI

The Manila cop who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman surrendered before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday, according to GMA Reporter John Consulta’s exclusive report.

Consulta said this came after a Manila court issued an arrest warrant against him.

The victim, identified as “Anna,” said Patrolman Joshua Semilla Mendoza sexually assaulted her after she lost consciousness during a night out in Quezon City.

She filed the complaint against him with the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM).

NAPOLCOM said the cop may be held liable for grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer. —Joahna Lei Casilao/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
