A Grade 9 student from Pasig City has been reported missing, and the police are now conducting search and investigation efforts, the National Capital Region Police office (NCRPO) said on Monday.
At a press briefing, NCRPO spokesperson Police Major Hazel Asilo said the student was last seen on March 18 in Barangay Santolan after informing her father that she would meet classmates.
The case was reported on March 19, and authorities have since been conducting interviews with family members, relatives, and classmates.
Police are also conducting backtracking operations and coordinating with the cybercrime unit for technical investigation.
“As of now, patuloy pa rin ginagawa natin ang pagba-backtrack sa kanyang mga possible na naging pinuntahan at kinontak na rin yung cybercrime group para sa technical investigation,” Asilo said.
(As of now, we are still working on backtracking her possible locations and have also contacted the cybercrime group for technical investigation,” Asilo said.
“Siyempre yung ating strategy communication para mas mapalawak yung pagpapakalat ng flyers niya regarding sa pagkawala niya at kung meron nang nakakakita sa kanya is makapagbigay agad ng information,” she added.
(Of course, also our communication strategy to further expand the distribution of flyers regarding her disappearance and if anyone sees her, they can provide information immediately.)
