LRT-1 launches airconditioned waiting area at Baclaran Station
Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has launched an airconditioned waiting room at the LRT-1 Baclaran Station to help passengers feel comfortable amid the effects of the hot weather.
In a statement on Friday, LRMC said the project was conducted with the goal of providing immediate relief to passengers and make daily commute more bearable.
“Our goal is to constantly find ways to make the daily journey better for our passengers. This new air-conditioned space is a simple yet significant way to provide additional comfort, especially during these hot summer months… We remain dedicated to enhancing our station facilities and ensuring that our passengers feel valued and cared for while they travel with LRT-1,” said LRMC President and CEO Enrico Benipayo.
The station is open to all passengers, with a priority for senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with special needs.
The waiting area is open only during train intervals, and passengers are encouraged to move to the boarding area once the train arrive. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BAP, GMA News
