Bus catches fire along EDSA-Ortigas flyover
A bus caught fire along EDSA-Ortigas Southbound on Friday night.
According to a "24 Oras" report on Friday, firefighters are on the scene to respond to the fire that is still ongoing as of writing.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) shared that the fire was already ongoing as of 6:10 p.m.
The incident has taken up two lanes along EDSA Whiteplains, causing heavy traffic in the area.
Motorists have been advised to take alternate routes as authorities continue their efforts to put out the fire.
In a separate statement, DOTr shared that MRT-3 operations have resumed at 6:50 p.m. following slight delays caused by the fire.
The trains are currently running at reduced speeds between Ortigas and Santolan Station to ensure safety amid continued smoke emissions from the bus fire.
