Free parking to be offered for LRT-2 passengers at Santolan Station
Starting Monday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will be offering free parking at Santolan Station for LRT-2 passengers.
According to a statement on Friday, the offer was done to help motorists save travel time and costs, as well as encourage the use of public transportation, amid the fuel crisis.
(Aside from the 50 percent discount on fares when riding the LRT-2, parking fees for passengers with vehicles are also free. This will save them a lot of money compared to consuming gasoline or diesel, which are still expensive. Not only that, their journey to their destination will be faster.)
Passengers availing of the free parking will be provided with a parking stub at the Santolan Station’s Parking Area, which they would need to validate at the LRT-2 station’s passenger assistance office and presented to the security before exiting the parking area.
The complimentary parking will be a first-come, first-serve basis available from 4 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BAP, GMA News
