Heavy passenger volume at MRT-3 stations due to signaling issues
A heavy volume of passengers is being experienced in stations of Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) Tuesday morning due to a signaling issue between the southbound of Santolan and Ortigas stations, the Department of Transportation said.
In an advisory, the DOTR said MRT-3 trains are running at a slower pace following the Automatic Train Protection (ATP) brake activation at 6:08 a.m.
"A temporary 40 kph speed restriction for safety driving is now being implemented from Santolan Station to Ortigas Station (Southbound)," it said.
It added that 18 trains are running along the line.
The DOTR-MRT 3 management apologized for the inconvenience as it assured the public that it is enforcing crowd management to ensure the safety of the passengers. —AOL, GMA News
