Marcos wants Zaldy Co arrested 'at all costs;' DILG sets two week-timeline 

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wants dismissed House lawmaker Zaldy Co arrested “at all costs,” Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said Thursday.

Co, tagged as a mastermind behind the multi-billion flood control scam, has been evading Philippine authorities since 2025. Remulla is set to fly to France with the intention of bringing back the fugitive ex-lawmaker.

“That’s the agenda, that’s the agenda. Zaldy Co is the agenda … we know where he is, we know the address, we know his house. It’s to get him back here,” Remulla said in an ambush interview after the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s budget hearing at the Senate.

Remulla said that he was confident that Co could be brought back home, saying that Marcos wanted to get Co back “at all costs.”

“The truth and the law are behind us and I think we can conclusively prove that once the warrant of arrest is in order,” he said.

Asked for a target, Remulla estimated that it could take “two weeks.”

Remulla is hoping that a Red Notice will be issued by the Interpol. It is another reason why he is going to France.

Despite the lack of a Red Notice, however, Remulla said that it would still be difficult for Co to move around Europe.

Co has not sent out feelers to the government, Remulla said.

“I don't know the man. I've never met him. If I did, I don't recall, I've never had his number, we've never had contact with each other. We’ll only get in touch with him when we arrest him,” Remulla said.
