Bangon Pilipinas members troop to Fort Bonifacio

Members of Bangon Pilipinas trooped to Fort Bonifacio in Makati where a standoff is ongoing among members of the Philippine Marines. Lawyer Ted Pascua, counsel of Bangon Pilipinas, said the group will hold a vigil in front of the military camp to “prevent bloodshed." “We are here to be peacemakers. We want to prevent bloodshed from happening," Pascua said. Bangon Pilipinas is headed by Bro. Eddie Villanueva of the Jesus is Lord Fellowship. A source close to Villanueva confirmed that some members of Bangon Pilipinas asked permission from the JIL founder to go to Fort Bonifacio. “They were told to decide on their own, but most of the members were asked to go to JIL churches and pray," the source said in a text message. Villanueva, a former presidential aspirant, is a known critic of President Arroyo. - GMANews.TV
