Water service to be cut off in some Quezon City areas

MANILA, Philippines - Some areas in Quezon City will experience a temporary water service interruption on Thursday since Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI) will upgrade its pipe network in the Philippines’ most populated metropolis. In a public service announcement, Maynilad said that water service may be cut off in Barangays Fairview, San Bartolome, Talipapa, Sta. Lucia, Gulod, Sta. Monica and Sauyo starting from 11:00 p.m. until 4:00 in the morning of Friday, June 27, 2008. The company is advising residents in these areas to store water good for the duration of the service disruption. They may also call Maynilad Water’s Hotline at 1626. The service improvement project involves the replacement of the defective 600-mm butterfly valve along Dahlia near corner Regalado, West Fairview, and the defective gate valve along Dahlia corner Lilac, West Fairview, Quezon City. - GMANews.TV
