2 youth leaders arrested for Quiapo robbery holdup


MANILA, Philippines - Manila police arrested two youth councilors tagged in the holdup robbery of a woman in Manila's downtown Quiapo district, dzBB radio reported Tuesday. The two suspects, initially identified as Reynaldo Bautista and Paolo Monsanto - both members of the Sangguniang Kabataan - were arrested in police a follow-up operation and were both positively identified in a lineup. Initial investigation showed the two held up Camille Aguirre at the overpass of Raon and Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo. The victim's screams attracted the attention of passersby. Pursuing police personnel arrested the suspects after tracing them to their houses in Quiapo, the report said. - GMANews.TV
