San Juan cops uncover new modus operandi for shabu sale

MANILA, Philippines - Police in San Juan City are now watching populated areas in the city as drop-off points for methamphetamine hydrochloride - more commonly known as shabu - after discovering a new modus operandi for the exchange. Radio dzBB's Lito Laparan reported that San Juan police officials said during a recent drug bust at a pawnshop, authorities discovered a new racket involved in the sale of shabu. The new sales transaction involves the customer "pre-paying" the supplier at a prearranged place, with the drug to be delivered at a crowded or populated area to divert law enforcers' attention.
