UK Embassy in Manila closed July 10 to 14


MANILA, Philippines - The British embassy in Manila will be closed from Thursday to Monday as it moves to new premises in southern Metro Manila, according to a statement on the embassy's website. In its statement, the embassy said some services will operate on emergency service until it reopens on Tuesday, July 15. "Consular Section will operate an emergency service only. British Nationals requiring emergency assistance should contact the duty officer on +63917-5306431," it said. On the other hand, the VFS Visa Application Centre will remain open but will deal with applications solely by appointment. The normal expected turnaround time of 48 working hours for the fast-track application will not be valid during this time and for the period immediately following, it said. "Fast track applicants should expect to be able to collect their passports within five to seven working days during this period," it said. "The British Embassy apologizes for any inconvenience this move may cause," it added.
