NBI arrests Freddie Aguilar’s sister - report

MANILA, Philippines - Government agents arrested Thursday a sister of famous Filipino artist Freddie Aguilar in Marikina City over allegations of illegal recruitment. Radio dzBB's Teresa Tavares reported that the NBI Special Task Force (STF) served an arrest warrant on Maritess Aguilar and her husband Abraham Hipolito in Concepcion village. The arrest stemmed from a complaint lodged by two jobseekers who accused Aguilar and Hipolito of offering them jobs using tourist visas in exchange for P400,000. A record check showed the two had outstanding warrants for their arrest, including one issued by Marikina judge Olga Enriquez for illegal recruitment and estafa. - GMANews.TV
