Cops in hot water for parking patrol car at disco theater

MANILA, Philippines - At least one newly assigned Parañaque City policeman is now in hot water for parking a police vehicle near a disco theater in Pasay City before dawn Tuesday. DZBB’s Louie Garcia reported that the patrol car was abandoned near the Harrison Lodge and the Miss Universal Disco Theater and KTV bar in Pasay City at 1:10 a.m. Security guards at a nearby motel said four men got off from the patrol car, three of them in "Type-B" police uniforms. The patrol car had license plate SHB-971 and body number 43006. The incident prompted Parañaque City police director Supt. Roland Estiles to personally go to the site and look for the policemen who brought the car to that place. Estiles said an initial record check showed the vehicle was assigned to PO3 Jose Salazar, formerly of the Pasay City police community precinct 3. Citing initial reports reaching him, Estiles said Salazar brought the mobile car out supposedly to have the blinker fixed. But he also noted that Salazar had the entry placed on the blotter only at 3:53 a.m. He said Salazar may face administrative charges of grave misconduct and can be dismissed, suspended or demoted. - GMANews.TV
