Jamby leads OMB raid on child porn DVDs in Makati

MANILA, Philippines - Several sacks of child-porn digital versatile discs (DVDs) were seized following a raid led by a senator on a shopping mall in Makati City Thursday evening. Radio dzBB's Nimfa Ravelo reported that Sen. Ana Consuelo "Jamby" Madrigal led the raid on the Makati Cinema Square, as she wanted to see for herself the sale of child pornography. Madrigal led operatives of the Optical Media Board (OMB) in the raid from the mall's basement to its third floor. Seized from the site were DVDs with covers of children being abused. According to Madrigal, she wanted to see for herself the extent of child pornography as she is crafting an anti-child pornography bill. Madrigal added child pornography is a $60-billion trade worldwide. - GMANews.TV
