Port worker shot dead in Tondo
MANILA, Philippines - A drinking spree Sunday night turned out to be the last for a port worker who was shot dead by an old foe in Manila's North Harbor area while on the way home. Radio dzBB reported Monday that the victim, Leodegario Reyes of Area F in Parola Compound, succumbed to gunshot wounds in the right ear and left shoulder. Police have taken into custody one Jason Narvasa, 21, who witnesses said had a grudge against Reyes. Narvasa is a stay-in worker at Aboitiz. Initial investigation showed Reyes had just come from a drinking spree at Pier 2 in North Harbor and was going home when 15 men blocked his path. One of the men was armed with a homemade shotgun fired at Reyes. - GMANews.TV
