Car burglars strike inside Villamor Air Base - report

MANILA, Philippines - Not even Villamor Air Base, home of the Philippine Air Force and the Presidential Airlift Wing, is safe from car burglars, as a businessman discovered the hard way. Radio dzBB's Louie Garcia reported early Wednesday that the victim, Raymond Sangil, 32, of Ayala Alabang, could only lodge a complaint with the police after his vehicle was burglarized. Sangil said he parked his red Honda CR-V sport utility vehicle (WTL-107) at the parking area of the Villamor Air Base Golf Club to play a round of golf with his father. But when he returned, he saw the vehicle's window smashed, and many items inside missing. Among the items missing were a wallet with P10,000 and $1,000 cash, his driver's license, ATM cards, credit cards, clothing items and shoes. - GMANews.TV
