Floods hit CAMANAVA area - TV report
MANILA, Philippines â In the wake of heavy rains brought by typhoon âKaren" (Nuri), residents from the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela on Wednesday experienced floods in their major and minor thoroughfares. GMA Newsâ Steve Dailisan reported that residents from Brgy. Potrero, Malabon had to use makeshift boats to transfer from one area to another. The residents also complained over the delayed announcement in the suspension of classes. They said that the downpour started at 7 a.m. but Malabon City Mayor Canuto Senen Oreta ordered the suspension of classes on elementary and high school levels an hour later. The report added that motorists experienced heavy traffic in MacArthur Highway along the boundary of Malabon and Valenzuela cities. Aggravating the traffic situation is the ongoing construction in the southbound lane of Tullahan Bridge. - Johanna Camille Sisante, GMANews.TV
