Fire razes 3 apartment units in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines – Fire razed three apartment units in Masambong village in Quezon City before Thursday noon, a television report said. GMA’s Flash Report said no one was reported hurt in the incident that happened at House No. 10 inside the Cyprus Compound. Firefighters from the Quezon City Fire Department and the Chinese Volunteers Fire Brigade immediately swooped down to the area and declared a fire out around noon. The television report also quoted fire authorities as saying that damage to property was pegged at about P1 million. Initial investigation showed that the fire could have probably stemmed from faulty wiring. A separate radio report also quoted fire officials as saying the owner of the gutted house had gone out to fetch his child when the fire erupted.
