Man nabbed for raping 2-year-old daughter in Caloocan


MANILA, Philippines — A man infected with leprosy was arrested by police on Thursday night for allegedly raping his two-year-old daughter in Caloocan City last year. The suspect, who is currently confined at the Dr. Jose E. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital in Tala, Caloocan City, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. A warrant for his arrest issued by Judge Ma. Teresa de Guzman-Alvarez, of the Caloocan City Regional Trial Court Branch 131, was based on the complaint filed against him by his own wife. The suspect is now detained at the Caloocan police detention cell pending his commitment to the Caloocan City Jail, as the crime of rape is not a bailable offense. - GMANews.TV
