Easterly wave to bring rains to Bicol, Visayas areas

MANILA, Philippines - Rains loom over Bicol, Visayas and Mindanao due to an easterly wave affecting those areas, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Wednesday. In its 5 a.m. bulletin, Pagasa also said the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms. "Bicol region, Visayas and Mindano will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms," it said. Moderate to occasionally strong northeasterly surface windflow will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast and east with slight to moderate seas except during thunderstorms. - GMANews.TV
