Caloocan residents block EDSA-Balintawak

MANILA, Philippines - Traffic was snarled along EDSA Monday morning after residents of Bagong Barrio, Calooocan City barricaded the major thoroughfare's north-bound lane along Balintawak. Radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz said the residents blocked the road to call for a construction of a Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station built in their area when the MRT expands to Caloocan City. Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) units immediately arrived in the area to facilitate traffic flow, said the report. - Johanna Camille Sisante, GMANews.TV
