MANILA, Philippines - After eight hours of being grilled in the Senate, embattled former Agriculture Jocelyn “Joc-Joc" Bolante on Thursday finally arrived home, a report aired over radio dzBB said. Bolante, who arrived at about 8:30 p.m. at the posh Ayala Alabang village in Muntinlupa, was tailgated by elements of the Senate sergeant of arms. The Senate escort team had been tasked to secure Bolante and ensure that the former government executive would not evade the chamber’s succeeding hearings. The Senate has yet to say when the next investigation would be scheduled. At about 7:20 p.m, the Senate Blue Ribbon committee formally adjourned Thursday's investigation over the controversial fertilizer fund scam. After the hearing, Bolante - the lone witness - was immediately rushed to the Senate clinic, where his blood pressure would be examined. Earlier in the inquiry, the committee ruled that it will allow Bolante to go home to his family but decided that he would continue to be under the Senate custody.- Aie Balagtas See, GMANews.TV
