4 Bulacan cops, 3 civilians nabbed in Quezon City


MANILA, Philippines - Four Bulacan policemen found themselves in hot water after their "colleagues" in Quezon City found license plates and firearms in their possession at a checkpoint in Quezon City Wednesday. Radio dzBB reported early Friday that Quezon City police manning the checkpoint also brought in for questioning three civilians who were with the four Bulacan cops. The four policemen were initially identified as PO3 Marjon Sidayen, PO3 Ernesto Janapin, PO1 Allan Caraan and PO1 Jun Caraan, all of the Sta. Maria town police office. On the other hand, the civilians were identified as Manny Manuel, Francisco Sibayan and Manuel Salenga Jr., all of Sta. Maria town in Bulacan. Investigation showed the seven were riding a green Toyota Revo (XEA-888) when the checkpoint police flagged them down. Found in their possession were four license plates, a 9-mm pistol, two cal.-45 pistols, a Para Ordnance cal-.40 pistol, and a cal.38 revolver without serial number. Also found in their possession were two handcuffs and seven cell phones. - GMANews.TV
