Fire hits housing unit in Sta. Mesa

MANILA, Philippines - Fire of still undetermined origin hit a low-cost housing unit building in Manila's Sta. Mesa district Friday night. Radio dzBB's Roland Bola reported that the fire hit the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Metro Homes Phase 3 in Sta. Mesa near the Polytechnic University of the Philippines campus. No one was reported injured in the fire, which started at 10:30 p.m. and was placed under control less than 15 minutes later. Arson investigators said the fire hit some unoccupied units on the ground floor. - GMANews.TV
