Cold front will bring rains in Luzon, Visayas - Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines â State weather forecasters on Thursday afternoon said a cold front will continue to bring rains in various sections of Luzon and is expected to extend over parts of the Visayas region. In its 5 p.m. bulletin, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the tail end of a cold front continues to affect Southern and Central Luzon. "Central and Southern Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers becoming widespread rains over Southern Luzon which may trigger flashfloods and landslides," the Pagasa bulletin read. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the east and southeast with slight to moderate seas. Meanwhile, in its 5 p.m. gale warning, Pagasa said the surge of the northeast monsoon was expected to affect the seaboards of Luzon.
