10 hurt in Marikina road accident - report

MANILA, Philippines - Ten passengers, including two senior citizens, were injured after figuring in a freak road accident in Marikina City Thursday night, a radio report said. Radio dzBB's Sam Nielsen reported Friday that the 10 were aboard a speeding passenger jeep plying the Cubao-Montalban route when the jeep lost its brakes and hit a house. The incident occurred along Paliparan Street, Santo Niño village in Marikina City Thursday night. Initial investigation showed the incident occurred when the jeep driver, who was not immediately identified, lost control of the jeep when its brakes failed, and crashed into a house. The victims were brought to the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center for treatment. - GMANews.TV
