Manila gets 20 solar wind street lamps from Chinese delegation
MANILA, Philippines â A monument of the late Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. fronting the historic Manila Hotel will soon be illuminated by solar wind street lamps, Mayor Alfred S. Lim said Friday. The donation includes 20 solar wind street lamps worth P250,000 each. The solar wind lamp is the latest technology energy-saving lighting product manufactured by Centron Telecom International Holding Limited, the company that put up solar lights in the Quanzhou Olympic village. The Chinese delegation was led by Antonio Cua, national chief representative of Centron, which is based in Quanzhou City in Fujian province, China, and senior account manager Vanek Song. Cua was accompanied by Richard Tan, general manager of Centron Communications Technologies Filipinas, a subsidiary of Centron Holding in the country, with account manager Carlo Tan.
